Dr. Richard Wolfgram

Dr. Richard C. Wolfgram, MD, 83, of Oshkosh died on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home. Dr. Wolfgram was born on February 18, 1930 in Oshkosh the son of Eric and Malinda Peterman Wolfgram. He married Bonnie Jean Mondl on June 18, 1955.Richard was a 1948 graduate of Oshkosh High School, received his B.S. degree in Medical Science at U. W. Madison in 1952 and received his M.D. at U. W. Madison in 1955. His internships were held at St. Josephs Hospital and Marshfield Clinics from 1955 to 1956. He was Captain and assistant chief of O.B. GYN at Fort Harrison Army Hospital in Indiana from 1956 to 1958. He did his residency in OB-Gyn at Milwaukee Lutheran Hospital from 1958 to 1961. Dr. Wolfgram was the Diplomat for the American Board of OB-Gyn in 1964 and was in private practice at the OB-Gyn clinic of Oshkosh for 32 years. He was a past Chief of Staff and chief of OB-Gyn at Mercy Hospital. He had been a member of the American Medical Association, Winnebago County Medical Society, Wisconsin State OB-Gyn Society, and the American College of OB-Gyn. Dr. Wolfgram retired from practice in 1992. His medical life was dedicated to his patients. Richard was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Oshkosh.Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Jean; son Jon C. (Nancy) Wolfgram of Blue Mounds, WI; sisters, Joyce Bauer of Oshkosh and Bonnie Lee (Gordon) Helmeid of Middleton, WI; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Bob Bauer.Family and friends may visit at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held.
