Edna Laura (Krueger) Dustman, 94, died at Bethel Home on Friday, May 9, 2008. Afterselling her home she had resided at Arborview Manor, until the past year when her healthdeteriorated.Edna was born on December 19, 1913 in Harrisville, Wisconsin. She lived with her parents, Ella Laura (Warnke) and Henry A. Krueger, and brothers, Elmer and Arthur Krueger onthe family farm in Harrisville. Upon completion of her high school education, she relocatedto Oshkosh, Wisconsin.In Oshkosh, Edna began her very fulfilling career of many years as a most dedicated andexceptionally skilled waitress. Her extensive employment included Dels Restaurant,Athearn Hotel, American Legion, Columbus Club, and the Power Boat Club in Butte desMorts. She had many friends as a result of her warm, friendly, kind and likeable manner.In 1940 in Oshkosh, she met her future husband and married the love of her life, Herbert E. Dusty Dustman. They were blessed with 49 enjoyable years together and had traveledextensively throughout the United States. In addition, they loved to spend time fishing atvarious Wisconsin lakes, particularly in the Fremont/Waupaca area where Ednas familylived for many years.December, 2004, Edna spent two months in California visiting her great nieces and nephew and their families. It was a tremendously enjoyable visit for them and another memorable vacation time she treasured.Edna is survived by nieces and nephew, Diane Smrstick, Donna Krueger and KarenKrueger, Sue Knoop, and Douglas Dustman, Sr.; great nieces and nephew, Patricia (SteveSnyder) Dustman, Juniet (Greg) Rotter, Fremont, CA, Douglas (Deborah) Dustman, Jr.Pleasant Hill, CA, Cheryl Fuchs, Evansville, WI, Amber Krueger, and her beloved great-great nieces and nephew, Sarah, Emily, Richard Rotter and Kimberly Snyder, Fremont, CA.Edna also enjoyed the friendship of her special friends and caretakers, Marlene Herold,Oshkosh, and Eileen Nicholson, Modesto, CA. Marlene has continually and unselfishlygiven of her time to provide for Ednas every need during the past three years. Marleneslove and consideration was a true blessing to Edna during her many visits. Her kindnessand dedication added much joy to Ednas last years.Edna was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister-in-laws, niece, and nephew. Her husband; Dusty preceded her in death on September 2, 1989.A special thank you is extended to Dr Steven Blaha and to all the dedicated staff at Bethel Home who have provided such excellent care for Edna.Private services will be held with Rev.
