Duwayne Rowan Monday

DuWayne R. Duke Monday, age 78, of Oshkosh died on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on June 20, 1932, a son of the late John and Annabelle Fink Monday. DuWayne married the love of his life, Margie Mae Rosenthal on October 2, 1954 in Berlin. She preceded him in death on May 26, 1974.Du Wayne proudly served his country in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and after 39 years of service with Kimberly Clark, he chose to retire. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. DuWayne enjoyed all sports and participated in softball, volleyball and bowling.Survivors include two sons, Jon (Jean Marhefke) Monday, Oshkosh; Greg (Heidi Anderson) Monday, Oshkosh; three sisters, Shirley Schick, Oshkosh; Marcia Westcott, DePere; Sandra (Louis) Krueger, West Allis; one brother, Bernard (Joan) Hunt, Oshkosh; one granddaughter, Rochelle (Charles Hoskins) Monday, Wisconsin Rapids; one great granddaughter, Jayla Hoskins, Wisconsin Rapids; and one sister-in-law, Betty Witkowski Neenah.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Interment with Military Honors will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
