Dylan J. Dewhurst, Sr. Our beloved son, brother, father, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Dylan James Dewhurst, Sr., returned to his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the young age of 24. Dylan was born in Oshkosh, on January 30, 1998, to Gary and Alanda (Schreiber) Dewhurst.
After graduating from Oshkosh North High School, he went on to work at E.D. Chase Roofing Company. Dylan enjoyed being outdoors. Some of his happiest memories were fishing in Canada with his grandfather, Steve Dewhurst. A trip that they made four or five times. Dylan also loved hiking, camping, biking and being with his family.
His love for the outdoors brought out the happy free spirit that defined him. Dylan also had a love of music. His love for the outdoors and music were only surpassed by the love he had for his family.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Gary and Alanda; his children Dylan Jr., Audrey, and Emerie; his siblings, Ceclie Schreiber, and Nicholas Dewhurst; his nephews, Luis and Hudson; his grandparents, Steve (Carol) Dewhurst, and Dale Reichenberger; his aunt, Carri (Foster) Mullen; and his uncles, Michael Herter, Steve Dewhurst Jr, and Bryan Dewhurst.
Dylan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Schreiber, and Bonnie Reichenberger.
A service for Dylan will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 2PM. A visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service.
Our family was not expecting for Dylan’s life to be cut so short so soon. To say that we are in shocked is an understatement. As the result of this devastating loss, our family was not prepared to pay for the funeral costs. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, please consider donating towards the funeral expenses. Finally, we want to thank everyone for all the kind words and support they have already shown us during this difficult time. It means more to us than words can say.
