Edward R. Paulik, 81 of Oshkosh, died at Mercy Medical Center on Wednesday August 24, 2005. Ed was born in Oshkosh, on September 25, 1923, a son of Anton and Mary Reischle Paulik. He married Ruth Manney on September 29, 1951, in Oshkosh.Ed served in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and was a Sgt. with the 3 rd Army Air Corps. He retired from the Oshkosh School System after 20 years as Electronic Technician. He was a life member of Cook Fuller Post 70 of the American Legion, having served three terms as Commander. Ed was a member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church, and served on the Parish Council. He enjoyed spending time at his log cabin, and deer hunting.Survivors include his wife Ruth, of Oshkosh; one son Jeff (Pam) Paulik, of Green Bay; one sister, LaVern Weber, Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Phil, Gregg, and Emily Paulik, all of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony, Sylvester Les, Joe, and six sisters, Mary Jane, Gen, Helen, Ginny, Rosella, and Rita.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at St. Josaphat Catholic Church beginning at Noon. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM to the time of Mass. Military Honors will follow the Mass. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.A memorial to the American Legion Scholarship Fund has been established. Special thanks to the I.C.U. staff at mercy Medical Center, for their care and compassion.
