Edward W. Baker, 61, Oshkosh, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born April 10, 1951 in Chicago a son of Archie and Marilyn (Wahmoff) Baker. Ed was an enlisted U. S. Marine veteran proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty with the Marine Corp. he traveled out west and settled awhile in some western states, ending in Seattle, WA, calling that his permanent home. In Seattle/Kenmore, WA, he spent many hours coffee clutching with friends at the Kenmore Safeway Store. He had a passion for giving children stuffed animals at the hospital childrens ward in Seattle. He loved baseball, helping neighbors, and motorcycle riding. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Allison; three sisters, Mary Rice, Denise Bailey, and Debra Allison-Aasby; a brother, Brett Allison; a son; nieces and nephews, Jason, Jennifer, Marilyn, Kimberly, Laurie, Steven, Matthew, Haru, Sherry, Bradley, Rachel, and Nicole. He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Gunnar Allison; maternal grandparents, Lincoln and Mary Wahmoff; paternal grandparents, Orville and Edith Baker. A graveside service with military rites will be held Friday August 31, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, Port Wing, WI.
