Our loving mother and grandmother met her Savior the evening of November 22, 2014, passing peacefully into his presence surrounded by family. She was 99 years old. Edythe was born June 1, 1915, in Baraboo, WI, the only daughter of Otto and Winifred Haase. Edythe married Walter Mayo Sr. in Chicago, and later married William H. Warner in Oshkosh, WI. Edythe was a nurturing mother to seven children: Wally (Mary Ellen) Mayo, Sylvia (Dennis) Beson, Bill (Nancy) Mayo, Nate Warner, Doug Warner, Winnie (Larry) McPeake, and Patti Windle, was the loving matriarch to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Warner, and her special aunt, Doris Leher. Edythe always had a kiss and a smile for everyone. Known as Grandma Warner to everyone she met and was especially loved by all the little ones at Gingerbread House daycare in Oshkosh. Grandma Warner loved many things, including sewing, traveling and Avon, but loved Jesus and para-sailing most of all. Truly a Godly woman, Grandma was a member of Oshkosh Foursquare Church and Our Saviours Luth. in Appleton. Her family could always count on large family gatherings that included every generation, Grandma being a cheerleader at sporting events and school functions and, of course, her amazing green fluff. Edythe was a wonder woman who raised her children while working as a seamstress, and after retiring from the Oshkosh Post Office at 65, Edythe went back to school and earned an Early Childhood Certification. She was a dedicated member of the Oshkosh Optimisses Club and volunteered at the Oshkosh Public Museum. She stayed socially active as a member of NARFE and the Red Hat Society. Edythe was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband William Warner in 1988; brother Victor Haase; and sister-in-law Eunice Haase. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside). Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Dr. Radford; the Northpoint staff and Generations Hospice for the excellent care over the years. Grandma Warner was loved by everyone who met her and will be missed by each and every one of them.
