Eileen Gloria Hunter

Eileen Gloria Hunter (nee Wagner), 94, of Oshkosh, WI, left this earth to be with her Savior on Saturday, November 27, 2021. She died peacefully at home. Eileen was a member of Living Water Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, WI.

Eileen was born on July 20, 1927, to the late Otto and Alvina (Voth) Wagner in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was baptized on August 25, 1927, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, St. Paul, MN, where she also witnessed her faith in Jesus at her confirmation in April of 1939.

Eileen married James W. Hunter on September 14, 1946, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, St. Paul, MN. They moved to St. Paul Park , MN, where they lived and raised their six children. Jim and Eileen were charter members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in St. Paul Park, MN. In 2007, they moved to Watertown WI. After Jim’s death, Eileen moved to Oshkosh, WI, in 2013.
Eileen loved to cook, can, garden, bake, decorate, travel, and shop. She also loved watching sports, especially when any of her kids were playing.

Eileen is survived by her children: Sandra Kastens, James Hunter Jr, Thomas (Lisa) Hunter, Debra (John) Dorn, Randy (Karen) Hunter, Paul (Robin) Hunter; 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Hunter; son-in-law, Gerald Kastens; and all of her siblings.
