Eleanor Margaret Kroening

Eleanor M. Kroening, 87 of Oshkosh, died Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Bethel Home. She was born in Manawa, WI daughter of Albert and Emma Schultz Voss. On February 22, 1941, she married Norbert R. Kroening Sr. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1980.Eleanor was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, card playing, and going to casinos.She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Clark) Seibold of Oshkosh, and Bonnie (Robert) Olson of St. John, IN; a son, Norbert (Gloria) Kroening II of Oshkosh; three grandsons, Mark (Lori) Olson of St. John, In, Norbert Trip (Lori) Kroening III, and Lance Olson of St. John, IN; Four great grandchildren, Morgan, Jordan, Olivia, and Gavin Olson; step granddaughters, Kellie (Mark) Showers of Oshkosh and Carrie (Daniel) Roland of Racine, WI; step great grandchildren, Nicole Soffner of Alabama, Chelsea Showers, and Ryan Showers both of Oshkosh; and sister/in/law, Marge Voss. She was precede in death by four brothers, Carl,Leo,Adolph, and Clarence Voss; four sisters, Vicky Phillipps, Elsie Jensen, Clara Knutsen, and Olga Faker; and by a grandson, Ted E. Kroening.Her funeral will be Friday February 27, 2009 at Noon at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial to Bethel Home has been established. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Bethel Home for the wonderful care that they gave to their mother.
