Elizabeth Ann Kettner

March 8, 1933 — January 15, 2017

Elizabeth Betty Ann Kettner, 83, of Shiocton, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2017. Betty was born on March 8, 1933 to the late Joseph and Anna (Schroeder) Mohnen in White lake, South Dakota. Betty married Merlyn Kettner on May 31, 1960 and their marriage was blessed with four children. Betty was a Catechist for many years, and also a 4-H Leader for 14 years. Betty had a love for crocheting, needlework, puzzles and crosswords. She had a keen eye and was alert to everything that the kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren were up to at the farm. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Merlyn; sons: Ron (Julie) Kettner, Bruce (MaryKay) Kettner; daughters: Elaine (Rodney) Koleske, Rose (Pat) Rynish; grandchildren: Josh Koleske, Michael (Stacy) Koleske, Katie (Josh) Metko, Amanda (Ben fianc) Kettner, Alanna (Zak) Ford, Alicia (Jeremy) Starr, Luke (Brittany) Rynish, Nate Rynish, Jessica Kettner, Brandon Kettner, Chris Mosher, Heather (Kyle) Balda; great-grandchildren: Chloe Vanden Boogaard, Caleb Ford, Audrina Rynish. She is further survived by brothers: John, Jim (Millie), Leo (Donna), Ed, David, Paul (Nancy), sisters: Mary (Warren) Vinz, Jeanette (Bob) Priebe, Sharon (Bob) Beckman, Dolores Waters, and Theresa Ishmael.Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Jerald, Philip and Richard Mohnen; brother-in-law: Allen Waters and grandchild; Randy Lamb. A funeral service will be held at St. Patricks Catholic Church of Stephensville(N3686 State Rd 76 Hortonville, WI.) on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
