Ellen Jane Weber

Ellen J. Weber, 82 of Oshkosh, died at Mercy Medical Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. She was born in Oshkosh, on November 21, 1927, a daughter of the late George and Anna Stenzel Sitter. Ellen married Herbert F. Weber on May 8, 1954, in Oshkosh.Ellen was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church. She had been employed by the Red Owl Grocery Store and the Oshkosh Northwestern. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, spending time at the cottage and being with her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, Herbert F. Weber, of Oshkosh; two daughters, Gay Ann (Richard) Lukes, of Luxemburg, WI; Kay Ellen Felker, of Oshkosh; two grandchildren, Sara Rodriguez, of Menomonee Falls; Joshua Felker, of Oshkosh; one brother, James (Ruth) Sitter, of Oshkosh; and one sister, Marion Hansen, of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Sitter and one sister, Elaine Sitter.Memorial services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 6:00 pm with Rev. William Van de Kreeke officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to the time of service. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial has been established. Special thanks to the neurosurgery staff at Mercy Medical Center and to Dr. Karen Gremminger, Dr. Beckett and Dr. Donley, along with their staff for the wonderful care and compassion given to Ellen.
