Ellen Mary Weber

Ellen M. Weber, 95, of Oshkosh died peacefully on December 1, 2011 at Evergreen Retirement Center, where she had resided since 1996. Ellen was born January 16, 1916 a daughter of Edward and Mary Horgan in Marshfield, WI. Ellen was married to Larry Weber in Beaver Dam, WI. The couple was later divorced. Ellen lived in Oshkosh for most of her adult life. A graduate of Oshkosh Beauty Academy, she worked as a beauty operator for many years and later as a student counselor at Winnebago State Hospital, eventually retiring from the state position in 1978. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Florence Bennett of Beaver Dam and Lucille Stillman of Oshkosh, and a brother David of Stevens Point. She is survived by her brother Edward of Milwaukee as well as four nieces and seven nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament-St. Peter Church on Saturday Dec. 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the mass. Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial service is also being held for Ellen in the chapel at Evergreen at 2:00 p.m. on Monday the 5th.
