On the advice of Carl Steiger, rather than a flat settlement, Elmer chose to receive a lifetime monthly payment. Elmer was most fortune ate to have in his life two wonderful wives and two families who loved him.Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 6:00 PM at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church (913 Nebraska St.) with Rev. Gregg Schoeneck officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM to the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to Grace Ev. Lutheran Church has been established. The family is extremely grateful to Nancy. She was responsible for his well- being and his dapper appearance. She served him perfect meals (why he would prefer those awful store bought cookies with his coffee, we could never understand), and always saw to it that he had hard candy. She gave him a gracious home where all were welcomed. Nancys love and kindness are appreciated by everyone.Special thanks to Dr. Lance Zernzach and the staff at Bethel Home for their care and compassion to Elmer during his stay.
