Elward R. Augsburger

Elward Ric R. Augsburger, age 62, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at King Veteran Home. He was born on April 22, 1952 in Oshkosh, the son of the late Elward Sr. and Ruth (Derpinghaus) Augsburger. He was proud to serve as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. Ric was united in marriage to Linda Freiberg on October 27, 1973 in Oshkosh. He was a bridge foreman for Winnebago County Highway Department for over 30 years. Ric enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and grilling out for friends and family. Ric was an avid Packer fan, and loved watching them play.Ric is survived by his three children: Phillip Augsburger, Colt Augsburger, Jill (Dave) Brunner and their mother, Linda Augsburger all of Oshkosh; three grandchildren: Zoe Augsburger, Madisen and Hailey Brunner; four brothers: Gerald, Bryan (Julie), Dale and Darrell Augsburger, one sister, Charlene (Gordie) Raub, many nieces and nephews, also survived special friend, Beth. He was preceded in death by two sisters, JoAnn Robinson and Barbara Zimdar.Memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
