Erna V. Cartwright

Erna (Mrs. Willard Cartwright) passed away on January 17, 2015. She was born October 31, 1906, daughter of Frank and Louisa (Drebas) Loewen, in Oshkosh, WI. Erna graduated from Oshkosh High School in June 1924. She worked as a Billing Clerk at Oshkosh B'Gosh from 1924-1946. She then worked at Oshkosh City Cab and Greyhound from 1946-2010. Erna was a lifelong member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ where she was confirmed on March 28,1920. She taught Sunday School for 60 years and was member of the Women's Guild.On August 6, 1929 Erna married Willard Cartwright at Emmanuel Church and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his passing on November 3, 1989. Also, preceding her in death was her Mother and Father; sister, Lucille Reno and a very special cousin, Richard Drebas. Erna is survived by many relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be held at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 1306 Michigan St. Oshkosh, on January 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Friends and family may visit at the church from 1:00 pm until time of service. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
