Esther Maria Hamilton

d. February 24, 2015

Esther M. (nee Sinner) Hamilton went into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on April 24, 1924, to David and Maria (Lackman) Sinner in Milwaukee, WI. She was married to William Hamilton on November 29, 1947, in Milwaukee, WI and together they shared over 59 years of marriage. Bill passed away on September 8, 2007, and she has missed him terribly each and every day. Today they are dancing a polka.Esther worked for Deep Rock Oil, Hilbert Furniture, and later in life for the Boston Store. Esther loved her family more than words can express and all of us remaining are left with memories that we will always treasure. Being a wife and mother were her joys in life-well, shopping was right up there as well. Family get-togethers, camping, buying a new purse, pizza at Christianos, the Hardees gang, and Wal-Mart walkers, were things that made Esther happy. She loved her church, Immanuel Lutheran and was Pastor Pagels #1fan. The Sunday School children were very special to her and she loved them all. Going to Christianos was like going to be with family. She truly loved each one there and always seemed to eat the best when we were there.Esther is survived by two children, Mary Beth (Donald) Deike of Oshkosh and William (Lia) Hamilton of Kewaskum. She has seven grandchildren, Amity, Rebecca, Jackson, Jordan, Amy, Cari , and Megan, five great-grandchildren and two grand-dogs. Also surviving are her brother, David (Elaine) Sinner; sister-in-law, LaVonne Sinner; nieces; nephews; cousins; and oodles of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; a daughter, Kathleen; a grandson, Chad; brothers, George, Alex, and William Sinner; and sisters-in-law, Norma and Lorraine Sinner.A funeral service for Esther will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (338 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh), Rev. David Pagel officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the service.
