Esther M. Tank, age 95, passed away at Gabriel’s Villa on Thursday, November 18, 2021. She was born to the late Harry and Ada (Jorgenson) Blood on May 9, 1926, in Oshkosh Wisconsin. She married Vernon Tank on October 10, 1948, in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Vern and Esther were both members at Grace Lutheran Church. People could see Esther at Miles Kimballs where she spent time working as a secretary. Esther was a member of many organizations; including Grace Forever Young, the Oshkosh Chapter of DAR, the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets where she served as treasurer, and NARFE. She was also a past regent of Oshkosh Daughters of the American Revolution and sang with the Cecilian Singers.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Joan (Fred) Annis; granddaughters, Amy (Aaron) Walsh, and Nicole (Garrett) Heintz; great-granddaughter, Macklyn Heintz; and niece, Marcia Williams.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vernon; son, Eric Tank; and sister, Marion Blood.
A service for Esther will be held at Grace Lutheran Church (913 Nebraska St.) on Friday, November 26, 2021, at 2:30 PM. A visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of service a burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Staff at Gabriel’s Villa for the years of loving care they provided for Esther and her family. Thanks also to Moments Hospice for their compassionate care.
