Esther Tillie Mary Neitzel

Esther Neitzel, 96, of the Town of Nekimi, died peacefully at her home on Friday, February 1, 2008. She was born on April 27, 1911 in Oshkosh the daughter of Henry and Bertha Kress Berholtz. On August 4, 1928 she married Florian Neitzel in Oshkosh. Florian preceded her in death on July 21, 1971.Esther was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. She worked at Kresges and Kmart before her retirement. The most important thing in Esthers life was her family and she loved spending time with them.Survivors include two sons, Lester Neitzel and Richard (Sandy) Neitzel both of Oshkosh; one sister Flossie (Ray) Reitz of Van Dyne; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also survived by one son-in-law, Harvey Thomas of Oshkosh; one brother-in-law, Howard Allison of Tulsa, OK; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Berholtz of Oshkosh.Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Fredrick and Elmer Neitzel; three daughters, Elaine Hughes, Amber Thomas and infant Joyce Neitzel; two brothers, Harvey and Melvin Berholtz; two sisters, Evelyn Mount and Audry Allison and one grandson, Randy Thomas.The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 6:00 PM at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) with the Rev. R. David Gaskill officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to the time of service.Burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery.A memorial has been established.
