Ethel Bernice Trent

Ethel B. Trent, 96, of Omro, formerly of Oshkosh, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Omro Care Center. Ethel was born in Wyandott, MI on December 10, 1912 the daughter of the late Patrick and Louise Eggebrecht McHugh. On May 16, 1936 she married Edwin Elmer in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1950. Ethel then married Eugene John Trent on October 22, 1955. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1972.Ethel had worked at The Winnebago State Hospital and St. Elizabeth Hospital, had attended the Oshkosh Normal School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was also a frequent volunteer at Fr. Carrs, Place 2 B.Survivors include three daughters, Carol (Lester) Brennand and their children, Lester, Sherry, James and Keriann (Charles), Sharon (Harold) Fahley and their children, Mark, Maria, Kenneth, Katherine, Carol, Linda, and Mary Rose Elmer; her son-in-law, Wade Dexter and his children, Steve (Kathy) and Paul (Karen), 25 great grand children, and six great great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Dexter, a grand daughter, Amy, one infant son, one step son, Lyle Elmer and a brother, Donald McHugh.Funeral services for Ethel will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Westside with Fr. William Van de Kreeke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. to the service time. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established.
