Eugene Baylor Stenson

Eugene B. Stenson, 88, of Oshkosh passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord, to meet once again those that have preceded him, on Monday November 28, 2011 at Bethel Home. He was born March 10, 1923 in Lenark, WI a son of the late Claire and Blanche (Moore) Stenson. Eugene married Esther J. Mueller on Dec. 16, 1942 in Oshkosh and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1988. He then married Gloria Bradley Rousar on Oct. 25, 1993 in Oshkosh. Eugene had worked at Paine Lumber Co. and Oshkosh BGosh Co. and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife Gloria of Oshkosh; two sons Michael (partner Cindy Seiter) Stenson of Zephyr Hills, Fl and Paul Stenson (Randy Culp) of Oshkosh; a step-son Richard (Vicki) Rousar of Oshkosh; a sister AdaBelle Hashmann of Denver, CO; three brothers Daniel Stenson of Appleton, Ronald Stenson of Denver, Co, and Robert Stenson of Wrightstown; eleven grandchildren Shelly (Ucef) Ghafourian, Micki (Kevin) Dewing, Eugene (Jill) Stenson, Terri (Chris) Adams, Sarah Culp, Amanda Culp, Douglas (Lori) Rousar, Tracy Rousar, Richard Witak, Todd (Kim) Witak, and Tamara (Jason) Ellis; thirteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a son-in-law Keith Holz; and three sisters-in-law Jackie, Theresa, and Toni Stenson. He was further preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Lee Holz; a daughter-in-law Patricia Stenson; a grandson Scott; a sister Dorothy Elmer; and four brothers Claire, William, Delbert, and Dale Stenson. Funeral services for Eugene will be held Friday Dec. 2, 2011 at noon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rev. Roger Erdman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Eugenes family would like to thank the staffs at Bethel Home, Aurora Dialysis, Aurora I.C.U., and Pastor Erdman for all their help and care.
