Eugene Marvin Elmer

Eugene M. Elmer, age 85, of Oshkosh died on Tuesday April 9,2019 at Park View Health Center. Eugene was born on August 31, 1933 in Oshkosh, the son of Jacob and Edna Reickman Elmer. On December 1, 1956 he married Jacqueline Ott. She preceded him in death on December 26, 2018.
Eugene graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1952. He then served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed for 37 years at Rockwell International. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three children Garret(Barb) Elmer, Cynthia(James) Sharpe, Michelle(Brad) Skupas, four grandchildren Nicole Salem, Jeremy Elmer, Jimmy Sharpe, Alyssa Sharpe, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sisters Mavis Sausen, and Eunice Jacoby.
A funeral service for Eugene will be held on Saturday April 13, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church(240 W. 9th Ave.) at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Brad Dokken officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Full military honors will be performed following the funeral and burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers a memorial in Eugene’s memory has been established.
