Evelyn Anna Albertha Tellock

Evelyn A. Tellock, 89, of Oshkosh died Friday, October 31, 2014, at Bethel Home. She was born August 16, 1925, in Omro a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Streicht) Smerling. She married Herbert Tellock in February 1962.Evelyn was a member of Eureka Methodist Church and was very active in many church activities.Evelyn is survived by her husband, Herbert of Oshkosh; a sister, Dorothy Piotter of Oshkosh; a brother, Merle Smerling of Omro; many nieces and nephews including Carla Celichowski, Ann Webb, and special niece and goddaughter, Marianne Steger; stepson, Jeff Tellock; stepdaughter, Kathy (Ron) Steffeson; and a step-granddaughter, Jennifer Steffeson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ardene Spiegelberg; and three brothers, Charles, Robert, and Raymond Smerling.A funeral service for Evelyn will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. at Eureka Methodist Church, Rev. Anita Genrich officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for the Eureka Methodist Churchs Handicap Ramp Access.The family thanks the Bethel Home staff for the excellent care and help that Evelyn received.
