Evelyn Evie V. Hanusa, of Oshkosh, died peacefully at Bethel Home on Friday October 14, 2011. She was born on August 7, 1922 in Sauk County Wisconsin a daughter of Herman and Alvina Hamburg. On April 5, 1936 she was confirmed at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Loganville, Wi. and on December 28,1940 she married Roger Hanusa at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Loganville, Wi. He preceded Evie in death on Aug. 9, 2010.She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and had worked at Mercury Marine. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, bowling, crafts, crocheting, knitting, painting, and raising her orchids. She was a musician, sang in the church choir and loved bird watching.She is survived by three daughters Linda Mitten of Gahanna, OH, Euni (Marty) Stednitz of Naperville, IL., and Gail (Rod) Jones of Oshkosh; a son Richard (Rita) Hanusa of Oshkosh; 10 grandchildren Dr. Gerritt Lagemann, Benjamin (Carol) Lagemann, Matt Hanusa, Erick (Lynn) Hanusa, Sarah (Jay) Wasserberg, Courtney Jones, Krystle (Josh) Richardson, Cody Jones, Bryan Stednitz, and Amanda (Doug) McCoy; 10 great-grandchildren Sean and Ella Hanusa, Alexis, Natalie, and Rebecca Wasserberg, Hannah and Madison McCoy, Gryffin Lagemann, and Dakota and Rebekah Richardson.She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother.A memorial service for Evie will be held on Saturday October 22, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church (222 Church Ave.) with Revs. George Hanusa and Steve Hanusa officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
