Everal A. Erdmann, age 80 of Oshkosh, passed away at Park View Health Center on Friday, August 27, 2021. He was born on January 23, 1941 to the late Henry and Ruth (Froeming) Erdmann in Wittenberg, WI.
Everal worked at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh as a dishwasher for over 30 years.
He was a proud foster grandparent at the Boys and Girls Club for many years volunteering almost every day. His picture was used in an ad in the newspaper many years ago when the Boys and Girls Club was looking for new volunteers. He was devoted to spending time with, and getting to know the children, even memorizing their birthdates!
When Everal wasn’t working or volunteering, he could be found walking and socializing at the Fox River Mall, Wal-Mart, or Park Plaza. He had a smile for everyone, and enjoyed telling jokes. In his younger days, you might have seen him riding his bicycle throughout Oshkosh!
Everal is survived by his siblings, John (Pearl) Erdmann, twin Eloise (Armin) Nimmer, Ramona (Joseph) Lenger, and Bruce (Maureen O’Leary) Erdmann. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service for Everal will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1250 Leonard Point Rd. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Bober officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of the service. Masks are preferred at this event. Interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Boys and Girls Club, or The Arc Wisconsin would be appreciated.
