Forest F. Woody Johnson, 64, of Oshkosh passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Monday October 30, 2006. He was gifted to Clarence H. and Frieda H. Johnson on August 17, 1942. He married Betty Jane Bruette on August 14, 1965. Forest owned and operated Central Barrel & Drum Company Incorporated for many years. He was a member of Fox Valley Gun Club, Van Dyne Sportsmans Club, and an avid bowler and sportsman. He was also the secretary/treasurer for the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association for a period of time. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Betty Johnson, three daughters Amy Blackburn, Carie (Mike) Portz, and Nicole (Tim) Frank, six grandchildren Kirstine Frank, Brittany Blackburn, Cody Portz, Cora Frank, Kaylee Frank, and Kyle Portz all of Oshkosh. He is also survived by his mother Frieda H. (Dimka) Johnson of Indian Lake Estates, FL, two sisters-in-law Bonnie (Dave) Poellinger and Susan (Steve) Stearns both of Oshkosh. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence H. Johnson, a son-in-law Jed B. Blackburn, and his mother and father-in-law Gilbert and Elaine Bruette. A visitation for Forest will take place from noon until 2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow, on Saturday November 4, 2006 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Carl Knitt officiating. A memorial has been established. Forests family would like to thank the Aurora Staff and Hospice for the excellent care and support given to Forest during his time of need.
