Frank Joseph Middleton

Frank J. Middleton, 69, of Oshkosh passed on peacefully, surrounded by his family, to his eternal home on Monday April 21, 2008. Frank and his twin were born April 9, 1939 in Isabella, PA to Mark and Garnet Middleton. He married Kathy Dahms on January 25, 1975 in California. Frank served in the U S Navy from 1958 to 1978 as a Hospital Corpsman, specializing in EENT, and as an instructor for the Navys EENT School. He also served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968. Following his military service, he initially worked for Stroud Optical and then with the U S Postal Service until his retirement. Frank especially enjoyed fishing and playing poker with his grandchildren. His survivors include a wife of 33 years Kathy of Oshkosh; three children Carmen (Clayton) Foster of Tracy, CA, Maria (Robert) Guerin of Elk Grove, CA, and Gilbert (Mary) Middleton of Fremont, CA; five grandsons Travis, Dylan, and Cole Foster, and Frank and Joseph Middleton; a twin brother Mark (Barbara) Middleton of Utica, MI; and two sisters Patricia Albright of Westland, MI and Mary Francis Starinsky of Northville,MI. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Edith Dahms; sisters-in-law Sherry Dahms and Ellen (Ron) Marshall; a brother-in-law Steven (Diane) Dahms; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Charlotte Albright; and three brothers-in-law Jim Albright, Jesse Albright, and David Starinsky. A funeral service for Frank will be held Thursday April 24, 2008 at 4:00 PM at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Visiting time will be held on Thursday from 2 PM until the time of service. Military rights will follow. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Franks family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center ICU especially Kelly, Elaine, and Eileen.
