Frederick A. Nichols

Frederick A. Nichols, 83, Oshkosh, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 10, 2016, with his wife by his side. Freddie was born July 19, 1932, in Oshkosh, son of Frederick and Caroline (Thurner) Nichols. On February 21, 1953, Freddie married Diane B. Daubert, and together they shared 63 years of marriage. Freddie was employed by Morgan Lumber Company for roughly 46 years prior to his retirement. Since then he had enjoyed travelling with Diane to many different places; day trips mainly, especially to Wisconsin Dells, where Freddie loved the shops, sites, and meeting and talking with new people they met. Frederick is survived by his loving wife, Diane; a brother, Charles (Patricia) Nichols; niece, Kathleen (Richard) Mueckler; great niece, Rebecca Mueckler; other nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth (Arlene) Nichols; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Daubert; and a sister-in-law, Arlyle (Richard) Reischl.Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, with Rev. Richard Hopkins officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 3:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
