Gale M. Wittenberg

Gale Marie Wittenberg, age 70 of Oshkosh, passed away at Aurora Medical Center on Friday, September 29, 2023. She was born in Oshkosh on August 10, 1953 to the late Warren and Elsie (Luft) Clough.

In her younger years, Gale loved to dance. She was a natural born shopper, but especially loved a good yard sale. Each year she looked forward to decorating her home for the holidays but had a special love for Halloween and Christmas. Watching her favorite movies, “Somewhere In Time” and “The Beaches” never got old. Gale was proud to say the strongest inspirations in her life were God, mom and dad.

Gale is survived by her life partner of 23 years, Guy Apell; children, Adam (Stacey) Wittenberg, Justin (Rebecca) Wittenberg, Abby (Jason) Wittenberg-McLamb, Amy (Gonzalo) Wittenberg, Adam (Stephanie) Apell, and Emily Apell; grandchildren, Julian, Sebastian, Deonte, Jazmine, and Dominic; siblings, Alan (Linda) Clough and Cathy (John) Kirk. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Gale will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.
