Gary H. Richter

Gary Harold Richter passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021 at the age 71. He was born on April 8, 1949 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the late Henry and Peggy (Pollard) Richter.
Gary graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1967 and went on to serve in the Army from 1967-1970. He was married in 1974 and has three children. Gary spent most of his career in the tech industry with Memorex and EMC and retired as a Senior Customer Engineer at 65.
Gary loved the outdoors and spent as much time as he could hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a skilled builder-aviator of RC planes, an EAA enthusiast, and a member of the American Legion. He loved to travel and enjoyed reading his extensive collection of Clive Cussler adventure novels.
Gary was a loving father, papa, and friend, who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Everyone who knew Gary enjoyed his friendship and storytelling. He enjoyed meeting new people and sharing his life experiences. He had a great sense of humor whose smile lit up the room and he loved to make others laugh.
He will be greatly missed by not only his family, but by all who knew him. His memories will live on through his stories, memories, and the loved ones whose life he touched. We love and will miss you so much Dad!
Gary is survived by his children Keith (Sara) Richter, Jennifer (Patrick) Kuhl, and Anthony (Marsha) Richter; his grandchildren Gavin, Emma, Nathan, Matthew, and Maddalynn; sister Linda (Ron) Lett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Peggy and Henry and two grandchildren (Molly and Jacob).
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 31 from 9:00-11:00am at Most Blessed Sacrament Parish- St. Peter site, 449 High Ave., Oshkosh, WI with funeral services to follow from 11:00am-12:00pm for family and close friends.
