Gary Lee Doney

Gary Lee Doney Sr. 64 of Oshkosh, died at his residence on Sunday, April 15, 2007. He was born in Clinton, Iowa on September 10, 1942, a son of the late Charles E. and Pearlene G. Rummel Doney. Gary was married to Veronica Greshem, and they later divorced. He then married Linda Rushbrook, and she preceded him in death in 1983.Gary servedhis country in the US Navy. He had been employed with Publisher News, and Texize Company, before moving to Oshkosh in 1989. He enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, camping and boating.Survivors include one son Gary Doney Jr., Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Charlotte (James) Ramirez, Higley, AZ; three step-daughters, Wanda Gresham, Rockford, IL; Billie Evans, Kankakee, IL; Daun Sowders, Kankakee, IL; four sisters, Cindy (Greg) Fugar, Oshkosh; Charlene Char (James) Weideman, Dubuque, IA; Cheryl (Craig) Hartman, Montrose, MN; Cherie Brais, Bradley, IL; one brother, Charles (Barb) Doney Jr., San Angelo, TX; 15 grandchildren, 12 great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Robert Doney.Funeral services will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:30 AM to the time of service. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with Military Honors. A memorial has been established.The family extends a special thank you to Serenity Place and Dianne Norris for their care and compassion during Garys stay.
