Genevieve Mary Kempinger

Genevieve M. Kempinger, 94 of Oshkosh, died Thursday January 24, 2008 at Bethel Home, where she was a resident for fifteen months. She was born on February 17, 1913 in Oshkosh, the daughter of John and Mamie OKrueg Alberts. She married Richard B. Kempinger on July 11, 1934 at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Ahern officiating. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for seventy-three years. Her life was her church and her family.She is survived by three children, a daughter, Virginia (Glenn) Bartenstein of Oshkosh, and their children, Tom (Sue) Bartenstein of Hingham, WI, Margie (John) Pollack of Greenville, WI, and Nancy (Murray) Ketteler of Blunt,SD, a son Richard J. (Jewel) Kempinger of Oshkosh, and their children, Greg Kempinger, Vickie (Stu) Struensee, Sue(Jim) Kroon, all of Oshkosh, and Tom (Bonnie) Weitz of Poy Sippi, and a daughter, Geraldine (Robert) Bezio of Oshkosh, and their children, Jody (Phill) Bezio of Omaha, NE, Kirk (Kristin) Bezio of Allston, MA, Kim (Alex) Hoffman of Oshkosh, and Kelly (Dan) Bezio of Chapel Hill, NC. She is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded death by her parents, and her husband.Her funeral service will be held January 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Site, with the Rev. Tom Reynebeau officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established.The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Home for their exceptional care and compassion for our mother.
