George C. Barrett Jr.

George Copeland Barrett Jr., age 59, loving husband, father, and brother passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born on March 8, 1962, in Chestertown, MD to George and Mary (Cook) Barrett Sr. He moved to Wisconsin in 2001 where he met the love of his life Robin Rescheske, whom he married on September 20, 2003. Together they have two children, Copeland (17) and Cody (12); who were the light of his life.

George was known as a Jack of all trades, he worked as a mason, machinist, and a truck driver. He loved to drive and graduated from MTA Truck Driving school in Montana, CA. He had many hobbies and joys in life: such as RC cars, fishing, boating, camping, gardening (talking to his plants), playing billiards, listening to music, feeding the squirrels and birds, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. He really loved to joke, laugh, and just talk.

George is survived by his devoted wife, Robin Barrett; six children: Nyaira Barrett of Oshkosh,WI, Hezekiah Thomason of Chestertown,MD, Arianna Smith of Kenosha,WI, Chyanne Edwards of Millington,DE, Copeland Barrett of Oshkosh,WI, and Cody Barrett of Oshkosh,WI; six grandchildren: Jaseci, Justin, Zoe, Ryken, Anbrianna, and Jack; siblings: James (Diane) Barrett of Portsmouth,VA, Algie D. Marvel of Laurel,MD, Joanie Barrett of Chestertown,MD, Renee Barrett of Rock Hall,MD, Kathy (Eddie) Dorsey of Worton,MD, Steve Hopkins of Las Vegas,NV, and Travis Barrett of Townsend,DE; and many relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; by whom he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George Copeland Barrett Sr. and Mary Marie Barrett; grandparents: Lester Copeland Barrett, Mary Williams, and Gertrude Hopkins; and siblings: Lester (Janie) Barrett, David (Faith) Barrett, Anne (Douglas) Johnson, Diane Rochester, Rudolph Barrett and Larry Barrett.

A memorial service for George will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, and Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
