George H. Schultz, age 82 of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. He was born in Milwaukee on June 10, 1941 to the late Oscar and Maybelle (McNinch) Schultz. George was united in marriage to Rita Williamson on November 19, 1977.
After graduating from Washington High School, Milwaukee, George served in the United States Army. He then worked in telecommunications all his life.
George loved his family, always keeping in close contact. He enjoyed his friends so much. George had a deep appreciation for good food and enjoyed cooking. He loved the Northwoods, and also enjoyed volunteering at Franciscan Courts. Model railroading was his favorite hobby.
George is survived by his wife, Rita Schultz; sisters, Janice (Ronald) Daniels and Barbara Wendler; nephews, Todd Daniels, James (Julie) Wendler and John Wendler; nieces, Kathleen (Dana) Bodnar and Christine (Kevin) Mifflin; great-nephews, Steven (Samantha) Mifflin, Matthew Mifflin, Andrew Bodnar, Robert Wendler and Jack Wendler; great-nieces, Jennifer Wendler and Holly (John) Reinesch; great-great niece and nephew, Phaitlynn Reinesch and Parker Reinesch.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his twin brother, Gerald Schultz; brother-in-law, Robert Wendler; great-nephew, Allen Mifflin.
A memorial service for George will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. with Deacon Pat Gelhar officiating on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
