George Molnar, age 72, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, on Friday morning May 12, 2006. He was born on December 12, 1933 in Szendro, Hungary. He left his homeland after being involved in the Hungarian Revolution in 1956. He arrived in the United States in 1961 and married his beloved wife, Katalin Fazekas on September 7, 1968 a the St. Catherina Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was employed at the Universal Foundry in Oshkosh, WI, where he worked as a melting superintendent from 1972 – 1983. He then went on to work at the Johnson Brass and Machine Foundry in Saukville, WI until he retired in 1999.He was a loving and devoted family man, who strived to provide the very best for his family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Terez Veres Molnar and Balint Molnar, and his older brother, Balint Molnar.He is survived by his loving wife, Katalin Molnar, his son, George A. Molnar, his daughter Katalin P. Lawrence, his son/in/law, Todd Lawrence, and by his beloved grandchildren, Zechariah G. Molnar, Jacob P. Molnar, Kadin Lawrence, Kol Lawrence, and Drake Lawrence.The family would like to express their gratitude to all their friends, who have been supportive during this trying time. They would also like to recognize the doctors and staff at the Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, WI for their outstanding professionalism, and compassionate care. He will be missed by all who knew him.His Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 3:00 PM at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Oshkosh, WI. A visitation time will begin at the church at 2:00 PM until the time of the mass.
