Gerald Alfred Ryckman

Gerald A. Ryckman, age 85, passed away at Parkview Health Center on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Gerald was born to the late Berwin and Marie (Kromm) Ryckman on July 17, 1932 in Oshkosh. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, he married Marcella Hoffman on June 9, 1956. He was a member of St. Jude Parish and lifetime member of International Labor Union. With the love for the outdoor nature, 4-wheeling and gardening, he had a passion to “tinker” in the garage and it was a well-known fact that he could fix just-about anything with a little duct tape and a touch of WD-40.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marcella; son, Jim (Pam) Ryckman; four daughters, Linda (Ross) Holzhausen, Connie (Todd) Arthur, Laura Ryckman, Valerie (Josh) Gassen; ten grandchildren, Amy Ryckman, Alyssa Holzhausen, Apryle (Matt) Krause, Crystal (Aaron) Guell, Christopher (Sophia) Wojahn, Thomas Wojahn, Ariel Wojahn, Eric Wojahn, Ericka Wojahn, Shelby Gassen; five great-grandchildren, Madisen Krause, Marshall & Sullivan Guell, Xzavier Schuster/Wojahn, Iris Wojahn; brothers and sisters, Berwyn Jr. (Mary) Ryckman, Clarence (Eva-Maria) Ryckman, Marianne (Arden) Ryckman/Beyer, Patricia (James) Ryckman/Knobloch, Richard (Lori) Ryckman, Carol (Roger) Ryckman/Peterson, Judith (Robert) Ryckman/Luedke, Nancy (Mervin) Ryckman/Brunette, Robert (Sue) Ryckman, Elizabeth Ryckman/Johnson, Dorthy (Elmore) Ryckman/Baumgarten, Susan Ryckman/Franzen, Dennis Ryckman, Mary (Gary) Ryckman/Koplitz.

A Service for Gerry will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave) on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 7PM. Father Matt Simonar will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 4PM until the time of service.
