Gerald Donald Freeman

Gerald D. Jerry Freeman, age 57, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. He was born on May 29, 1957 the son of Donald Freeman and Verna (Gutsmiedl) Freeman. Jerry graduated from Oshkosh West High School and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for six years. He eventually became a roofer and earned himself the job title of Journeyman. Jerrys two children meant the world to him as he loved them with everything he had. His favorite time of the year was always Christmas, and he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid sports fan; he taught both his son and daughter how to play football and baseball.Jerry is survived by his mother, Verna (Don) Schumacher; daughter, Kayleen Freeman; son, Derek Freeman; brother, Steven Freeman; as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Freeman. A memorial service for Jerry will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2014 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes (Eastside). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
