Geraldine Jeanette “Jerry” (Hansen) Bierman, age 100 of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at Park View Health Care Center. She was born May 27th, 1924 to Edwin and Hattie (Bartow) Hansen in Fond du Lac. Her family moved to Ripon where she attended school graduating in 1942.
Jerry loved to dance and met her future husband, Erling (Butch) Bierman at a dance at the Oshkosh Eagles Club. They were married a year and a half later on August 5th, 1944 and resided in Ripon upon his return from service. The couple eventually moved to Oshkosh.
Jerry worked at various places throughout her life, including a defense plant during WW II, Prescott’s Super Value and Miles Kimball. Her favorite job was at Stein’s Garden & Home decorating Christmas trees. Later when she was at Park View, she even decorated the trees in her neighborhood.
Summers were for golfing. Butch and Jerry were long time members at Far Vu golf course in Oshkosh and regulars in the couples league. Winters would find them going to Biloxi Mississippi for an annual golf get away. Jerry was proud of the fact that at 90, she was still able to golf in two women’s leagues...one at Far Vu and one at Winchester Hill in Larsen.
After Butch passed away, Jerry started dog sitting. The dogs brought her much comfort and enjoyment.
Jerry is survived by her son Michael (Kristine)Bierman, and her daughters, Debra (Mark) Suess and Amy Eiden (Rob Jones) She has one grandson, Ryan Bierman (Kristina Burrows) and a great grandson, Caleb Bierman.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband, Erling, her parents Edwin and Hattie Hansen, a brother Harold Hansen, and a sister Bernice Roeschlein.
Burial will take place at Memory Hill Cemetery in Princeton and a private service will be held by the family.

A very special thank you to Missy Grundman of Park View (Our adopted sister) who despite never being called by her given name, answered to “Marie” which is what Jerry chose to call her. She gave her exceptional care and guidance in her final years
Please send any memorials to Konrad-Behlman in Jerry’s name.
