Germaine Tank

Germaine Mainie L. Tank, age 83, passed away into Gods care on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Lakeshore Manor. She was born on April 2, 1930 in Oshkosh the daughter of Karl and Irma (Vandersee) Tank.She graduated from Oshkosh High School. She was a secretary at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for fifty years until her retirement. Mainie loved to spend time with her grandnephews and her great-grandnieces and nephews and enjoyed baking cookies.Mainie is survived by her niece, Debra (Perry) Wanish of Oshkosh; nephew, Mark Zastrow of California; grandnephews, Keith (Kimberly Alger of Muskego, Adam (Codi) Alger of Milwaukee, and Shaun Wanish of Oshkosh.She is further survived by two great-grandnephews Nolan and Carson Alger, a great-grandniece Anya Alger, and by her cousins Betty Vandersee and Lois Radig.Mainie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Tank, and her sister Carolyn Zastrow.A memorial service for Mainie is being held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave.) on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.The family would like to thank Generations Hospice and Lakeshore Manor for their grateful care of Mainie.
