Gilbert Huelsbeck

Gilbert C. Huelsbeck, 85, of Oshkosh died on Monday, May 25, 2009. He was born in Menasha on October 28, 1923 the son of Arthur and Ida Porsche Huelsbeck. He married Arlene Shebilske on May 24, 1951 in Appleton.Gilbert was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament (St Marys site), he was a World War II Army Veteran and worked at Meadowview Dairy in Menasha, then as a Bordon distributor in Oshkosh for ten years. Then he worked at Sommerfeld Welding until his retirement. Gilbert enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling and roller skating ice skating, and Playing cards.Survivers include his wife of 57 years, Arlene; daughters, Debra (Michael) Andre, Doris (Scott) Werdin; six grandchildren, David Hoffmann, Amy and Andrea Werdin, Scott Rosenberg, and Tyler Andre; three brothers, Richard (Phylis) Huelsbeck, Leo (Issy) Huelsbeck and John (Ruth) Huelsbeck; two sisters, Mary (John) Dietsler, Kathryn Huelsbeck; sisters-in-law, Edna Huelsbeck, Eileen Shebilske, Helen Ornstein, two brothers-in-law, James Shebilske, Clifford Shebilske and many nieces and nephews. Gilbert was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Hoffmann, a grand son, Jeremy Rosenberg, a brother, Raymond Huelsbeck, and a sister-in-law, Jean Shebilske.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at the Most Blessed Sacrament (St. Mary Site - 442 Monroe Street Oshkosh) at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the Mass. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials to the American Cancer Society in Gilberts name would be appreciated.
