Glenn Stub R. Babler, age 85, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday June 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born on May 19, 1929 in the Town of Black Wolf a son of Raymond and Martha Laude Babler. On April 24, 1948 he married Beverly Miller at Peace Lutheran Church.He was co-owner of Stub and Ervs Bar in Van Dyne and had also worked for Mercury Marine, Far View Golf Club, and Wendts Bar. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Nekimi. He loved the Green Bay Packers and bowling. He was a charter member of the Van Dyne Lions Club and a member of the Van Dyne Volunteer Fire Department.He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly Babler, two sons, Gary (Karen) Babler of North Fond du Lac, Rick (Mary) Babler of Appleton, one brother, Lyle (Joyce) Babler of Van Dyne, one sister, Lois (fianc John Robley) Giese of Longmont, Co., four grandchildren, Jennifer (fianc Jason Sanders) White, Jayson (Kristin) Babler, Tracie (John) Shenk, Tina Babler, three step-grandchildren, Nathan Gast, Aaron Gast, Jesse (Meaghan) Gast, five great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws Erv and Eleanor Miller.Private funeral services will be held.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank Dr. Eric Duwell and his staff.
