Gordis Ruth Eichman

March 20, 1919 — January 19, 2006

Gordis R. (La-More) Eichman, 86, of Oshkosh, died on Thursday, January 19, 2006 peacefully at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center. Gordis was born on March 20, 1919 in Neenah a daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn Purdy La-More. Gordis had been employed at Johnson Foods Company and at Mercy Medical Center. She enjoyed spending her time reading, knitting, bowling, playing cards and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Gordis had also volunteered for 20 years at Mercy Medical Center and for many years at the Red Cross. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.Survivors include two sisters, Marion Turnmeyer of Oshkosh; Lorraine Boeselager of Pine River; three sons, Dennis(Carol Rosanske) Eichman of Muskego, Dale (Jean Kaufman) Eichman of Burlington, Dean Eichman of Milwaukee; two daughters, Darlene Kraut, Delores (Lawrence Jim) Dutcher both of Oshkosh; eleven grandchildren, Kathy, Brian, Brad, Tera (Kent), Todd, Jamie, Chad, Erin (Josh), Ryan (Kelly), Cheryl (Christopher), Carla; nine great grandchildren, Dan, Michael, Becky, Klint, Kylie, Wren, Kale, Joshua, Nathanael; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gordis was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Evelyn (Purdy) La-More; one daughter, Gertrude Eichman; five brothers, Arthur, Walter, James, Roger and Harold La-More; one sister; Beatrice Colligan; a son-in-law, Kurt Kraut; a grandson Todd Kraut and a great granddaughter, Taylor Kasch. Services for Gordis will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Eastside with the Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Family and friends may call at the Waugoo Ave funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to the service time. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Gordiss family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center and also Heartland Hospice.Gordis was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
