Gordon A. Kearn, age 85, of the Town of Ellington, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2021 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on January 15, 1936 in Appleton a son of William and Ella Syring Kearn. On April 30, 1960 he married Joyce Neubert in Appleton and together they shared 56 years of marriage before she preceded him in death on December 18, 2016.
Gordon was a veteran of the National Guard and then the United States Marine Corps. He worked at Miller Electric for over 30 years. After retirement he enjoyed driving van for the Hortonville School District. He loved being a grandfather and sharing his cookies and eating ice cream with his grandchildren. He was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his four children Jody(Todd) Ziegler, Faye(Joe) Diedrich, Jeff(Ann) Kearn, Kristi(Jay) Schultz, nine grandchildren Samuel and Zachary Ziegler, Curtis, Derrick, Anthony, Benjamin, and Cianna Diedrich, and Ella and Charles Schultz. His sister Marion Dietrich and his brother Robert Kearn, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 4 brothers, and 7 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 10, 2021 at noon at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville with Rev. Chad Starfeldt officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah.
