Gordon G. Cameron Jr.

Gordon G. Cameron Jr. age 86 of Oshkosh, went to eternal rest in the house of the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2022. He was born in Oshkosh on July 7, 1936 to the late Gordon Sr. and Mabel (Wilber) Cameron. Gordon married Joanne M. Kimball on May 25, 1957 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.

He worked for Coca Cola for several years before working at Canteen Food and Vending for over 38 years where he eventually retired from. Gordon was a member of Plymouth Church in Oshkosh. He loved his family and friends immensely and enjoyed nothing more than to be able to spend time in their company. Gordon and his family created many memories going on countless camping adventures and trips to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, throughout the years. He appreciated being outdoors, gardening and birdwatching.

Gordon is lovingly survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne Cameron; children: Paul (Gloria) Cameron, Scott Cameron and Kimberly (Michael) Harper; grandchildren: Danielle (Matthew) Ziegler, Alicia (Michael) Southard and Jacob Harper; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Tucker, Killian, Laila and Zoey; brother: David (Carol) Cameron. He is also survived by brothers-and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his grandson, Zachariah Cameron, and in-laws George and Myrtle Kimball.

A memorial service for Gordon will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Plymouth Church, 1325 Georgia St. with Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
