Grace M. Lett

Grace M. Lett, age 94, of Oshkosh, was called to her heavenly home unexpectedly, Thursday, March 25, 2010. Grace was born in Oshkosh on August 25, 1915 to Phillip and Elizabeth Ruhl Goerlitz. Grace married Harry J. Lett Sr. on June 6, 1936. Harry preceded her in death on February 23, 1977. Grace was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church of Oshkosh, Grace worked many places throughout her, like Oshkosh Candle Co., Standard Kollsman Co and retired from Miles Kimball Co. many years ago. Grace resided over 30 years at the Simeanna III complex. She loved playing cards with family and friends, assembling puzzles, knitting, latch hooking, and tatting beautiful creations. In her later years she enjoyed reading, watching T. V. programs, and loved spending time with her great grandchildren.Grace is survived by her two sons, Harry Jay (Barbara) Lett Jr of Oshkosh, WI, and Larry (Sandra) Lett of Malta, MT; five grandchildren, Sonia (Todd) Young of Malta, MT, Elizabeth (Brian) Gardiner of Oshkosh, WI, Omar (Crystal) Lett of Malta, MT, Linda L. Lett of Gilford, MT, and Jay (Shannon) Lett of Oshkosh, WI; 13 great grandchildren, Laicee, Laremy, Westen, Wylee, and Leslie Young of Malta, MT, Alexandria Gardiner of Oshkosh, WI, Danielle, Squires of Stevenson, MI, Shantelle, Danielle, Markelle, and Chanel Lett of Malta, MT, Evan and Emily Lett of Oshkosh, WI ; and one great great grandson, Kiernan Young of Malta, MT; one sister, Beatrice (Walter) Laib of Apache Jct., AZ; two sisters-in-law, Arlene Goerlitz of Neenah, WI, Lona Lett of Ripon, WI; one brother-in-law, Richard Luft of Neenah, WI; and many nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; grandson, H. J. Lett III; five sisters, Ann Rehbein, Emma Weigandt, Marie Sorensen, Molly Mohr, Norma Luft; three brothers Al Goerlitz, Walter Goerlitz, and Hank Goerlitz. The family would like to thank her neighbors for their help and kindness.The funeral service will be on Thursday, April, 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church (400 N. Sawyer St) with the Rev. Jeffery Knoll officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Lake View memorial Park.
