Gregg H. Gabrilska, 51, Townsend MA passed away unexpectedly during a hiking and hunting excursion on Friday, September 11, 2009. Gregg was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on June 27, 1958. He is a son of Jane (Lautenschlager) Gabrilska and the late Rae E. Gabrilska and was a graduate of Oshkosh West High School. He proudly served his country for four years in the United States Marine Corps. During that time he was assigned to the Marine Corps Barracks at 8th and I in Washington, D.C. and at Camp David, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the Presidential Service Badge, Good Conduct Medal and other decorations. He continued his education at the University of Maryland at College Park where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering. Gregg was employed by Comverse Technologies in Wakefield, MA as a Technical Instructor. Gregg traveled frequently around the world for his position with Comverse venturing to five continents and looked forward to return trips with his children to share his experiences. Gregg also truly loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his son, Tim.He attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua, New Hampshire and enjoyed assisting with their annual Thanksgiving Dinner. He was a member of the Townsend Rod & Gun Club and was also active in Townsend Boy Scout Troop 10 of which his son is a member. Besides his mother of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, he is survived by two daughters and a son, Julie Beth, Meredith Corey and Timothy Walker all of Townsend, MA . He is also survived by one sister, Paula Dusick of Mahtomedi, MN and one brother, Gene Gabrilska of Denver , Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services for Gregg will be held on Wednesday September 23, at 7 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery, Saxeville, Wisconsin
