It was likely in “the shop” where you would find Gregg W. Briggs also known as “Briggsie” who was received by the Lord on January 15th, 2019, at the young age of 59, in Oshkosh WI.
Gregg enjoyed all things about cars: working with them, driving them, or just buying them! He loved boating and fishing, spending summers at the family cabin on Squaw Lake, and just having a good time. Gregg was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was employed as a mechanic with Cabulance for many years, until his health required him to take a step back.
Gregg is survived by his mother Sally Kinzie; long-time companion Carey Friday; he was the loving father of: Tim (Angie) Briggs, Kera (Tim) Lindemann, Dan Briggs, Jenn (Eric) Winchell, and Steph Briggs; a step-son, Matt Friday; eight grandchildren: Tristy, Logan, Caleb, Liam, Greyson, Colee, Brinlee, Jack, and the ninth one on the way! Gregg is further survived by his Aunt Gail; siblings: Holly (Randy) Buchwald, Nicole (Steven) Boemer and Mike (Amoreena) Kinzie; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father George W. Briggs and stepmother Camille (Nee Szalek) Briggs.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh, with Rev. Nathan Ericson officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
