Guadalupe Castro Sanchez

After a short illness, Guadalupe (Lupe) Sanchez, 82 of Oshkosh, went to his eternal life with Jesus on June 9, 2014.Lupe was born on November 22, 1931 in Gonzales, TX to Gregorio Sr. and Maria (Castro) Sanchez. Lupe did migrant work when he met his wife Beverly A. Schroeder, on the Schroeder farm in Plainfield, WI. Lupe and Beverly were married on September 12, 1953 in a Catholic Church in the town of Poygan.Lupe worked for Pluswood Inc. from which he retired after 40 years of service.Lupe enjoyed time at his property in The Woods, with family. Lupe also enjoyed gardening, planting trees, hunting and traveling.Lupe is survived by his wife Beverly; children, Deborah (Joe) Shadduck of Neenah, Michael (Monika) Sanchez, Linda Sanchez-Reid/Saulnier both of Oshkosh, Daniel (Mary) Sanchez of Omro, Gary Sanchez of Riverview, FL, and Lori (fiance` Tom Mueller) Scroeder also of Oshkosh. Also survived are his Family by Gift of Life by his daughter (Anita) to Patti (Dave) Carter and Dan (Linda) Phettaplace. Guadalupe is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Guadalupe is also survived by his brothers, Ascencion (Lilly) Sanchez, Seciel (Bertha) Sanchez, Joseph (Hilda) Sanchez, and David Sanchez all of San Antonio, TX, along with Frank (Mary) Sanchez of Omro, WI; sisters, Santiaga Esparza, Eloise (Juan) Moran, Delia (Leonard) Moyer, also of San Antonio, TX.Lupe was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Anita Sanchez; great-grandchild, Austin Sanchez; brothers, Salvador, Vincente and Gregorio Jr.; sisters, Tomasita Sanchez and Francisca Saenz.A funeral service for Lupe will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church (2580 W. 9th Ave.) Visitation will be held on Thursday at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday at church from9:30 a.m. until the time of service.The Guadalupe Sanchez family would like to thank Hospice for the compassion to Lupe and his family in helping them through this difficult time.
