Gunter Zedler, age 76, of Oshkosh , died Friday January 10, 2014 at Bethel Home. He was born on August 7, 1937 in Faulen, Rosenberg Germany the son of Max and Gertrude Schonschek Zedler. On May 21, 1960 he married Diane Dewhurst in Oshkosh .He worked at Kimberly-Clark for many years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church . He enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, fishing and spending time with his dog Charlie. His greatest passion was spending time in his yard doing yard work where he was known affectionately in the neighborhood, as the "Mayor of Willow Springs".He is survived by his wife Diane, one son Mike(Marsha) Zedler of Menasha, one daughter Nancy(Grant) Fernelius of Minneapolis, one sister Traute(Heinz) Gabriel, five grandchildren Cory(Janet), Matthew, Jason(Lisa), Emily(Chad), Ellie, and four great-granchildren Dylan, Haley, Madisyn and Owen.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services for Gunter will be held on Tuesday January 14, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery .A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center and the Aurora Hospice VNA.
