Guy R. Fenrich, age 89 of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018. He was born on February 6, 1929 to the late Roman and Anna (Jungwirth) Fenrich. After graduating from Oshkosh High School, he worked at Georgia-Pacific in Oshkosh. During his employment, he was drafted by the United States Army and was a member of the 30th Infantry Division during the Korean War. Guy married Audrey Dorow at the main post chapel in Fort Benning, Georgia on October 27, 1951 and their marriage was blessed with two children. Upon his return to Oshkosh, he went back to work as a machinist at Georgia-Pacific where he would later retire after 42 years.
Guy was an avid Packer fan who attended the infamous 1967 Ice Bowl where the Packers would win against the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, spending time with his dogs, and taking family trips in his Ford Thunderbird.
Guy is survived by his wife, Audrey, their sons, Paul and Jon (Jeanne) Fenrich, grandchildren, Mitchel, Adisen, and Morgan Fenrich, his sister, Patricia Fisher.
In addition to his parents, Guy was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Fenrich.
A private family gathering will be held to celebrate Guy’s life.
