Harold J. Riedi

Harold J. Riedi, 90 of Oshkosh, died Friday October 2, 2009 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on October 17, 1918 son of William and Mary Below Riedi. On May 18, 1941 he married Violet Befus.Harold had been a long time employee of the Wisconsin Public Service Corp. He had also worked for a time at the Dunphy Boat Co. in Oshkosh. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Harold had served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He had been a member of the WPSC Mens Club; the WPSC 25yr. Club; WPSC Golf League; Friday Majors Bowling League at St. Marys; Hanks Club; Rahrs Club; and the Midnight Club.He is survived by his wife of 68 years Violet Riedi; three sons, Dennis Riedi, James (Mary Kay) Riedi and Michael (Lynda) Riedi all of Oshkosh; Janet Marie Riedi of Oshkosh; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Jack, William, Lawrence, Frank, and Carl Riedi; and three sisters, Margaret Dillie, Marian Babler, Wilhelmina Riedi and an infant son Lawrence.His funeral will be on Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Eastside with Rev. Marvin Ahlborn officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Memorial to the Parkinsons Research Foundation has been established. The family would like to thank the Home Instead Senior Care staff.
